Hanging out with old friends

Image
Had an awesome couple of days hanging out with my college girlfriends and their kids.  These girls know all of my deepest, darkest secrets and still love me!  My favorite thing to do is just sit around doing nothing but talking.  Love you guys (and your kids)!!

The boys at the game

Image
Two of Trent's favorite teams were playing at Fenway (Boston and Tampa Bay) so the boys decided they had to go.  I think these were the four happiest "boys" at the park that night.  So glad they were able to spend this special time together.

Weekend w/Kim & kids

Image
We had an awesome weekend with Kim, Trent, Kendall, Erin, Matt, Bradley and Grandpa!  Kim and the kids flew up for a long weekend and we just played, played, played!  Made Bradley giggle, hockey in the living room, lots of games of baseball, whale watch, the beach, mini golf, "swimming" in the hot tub and just catching up.  Boy do we wish they lived closer, but we squeezed a lot into the 3 days we saw them!

Performance on the Prado

Image
The kids performed two of their Peter Pan songs on the Prado for North End Family night.  These are ridiculous as the kids acted silly, but here none the less.

All star break

Image
Nothing better than the all star break to get to see all the best baseball players currently in the game play.  Between the all star game and the homerun derby, this kid is in heaven.  I just have to write to the tv network and remind them that 6 year olds need to go to bed early so they should rethink their game start times (we did let him stay up late)! Rich's shows us again how amazing his memory is because he knew most of the teams each guy  plays for.  The only way he could know that is remembering when they played the Red Sox throughout the season.

Rainbows

We love our roof deck because even in a heat wave it is cool enough up there to hang out outside.  Because pizza is SO much better made on the grill. And you have to love summer storms that cool off the air and bring beautiful rainbows!

Tennis camp (Tenacity)

Image
Richard started Tenacity this week which is a free tennis and reading camp in our neighborhood.  I love the free and reading part and he loves the tennis part so it is a win win.  Lots of hitting balls and they do it in games so the kids are all into the score for each team.   All while some kids are sitting in the shade reading a book. Perfect way to spend the morning.

Babci babysits

Image
Chris and I were ridiculously lucky to spend the weekend in Woodstock, VT with 6 of our friends.  We had an amazing time eating, drinking, spa-ing, golfing and reminiscing of a time with old friends before kids.  We are super thankful to Babci for watching the kids so we could do it.  And I had missed the munchkins a bit when we returned.

Peter Pan performance

Image
Chris and I were so sad to miss it, but here is Rich's performance of Peter Pan after his week at NEMPAC (North End Music and Performing Arts Center).  He was Nibs, one of the Lost Boys.  He loves this camp and begged to go back this summer.

Poor sick baby

Image
My poor baby was sick and literally fell asleep on the toilet.  It is never fun when your kids are sick and it broke my heart, but I was hysterical at the same time.  Have to save these pictures to show her one day in college!  She rallied, never threw up and only had a fever for a few hours.  I am super lucky because my kids have really been so healthy.

Uncle Eddie's BBQ

Always a fun time horsing around and swimming with cousins and family.  How could you not love those smiles!

Fourth of July

Image
As I say every year, it was finally time for my favorite holiday and this one didn't disappoint!  I actually don't know if there was anything we could have done to make it better.  We swam in the pool, romped in the ocean, dug in the sand, played with cousins (new and old), watched fireworks, won running races (Go Angela!), AND learned to swim!  Just as Rich did in the LBC pool last year, this year Angela learned to swim on her own.  She already an amazing little fish!

Sailboat

Image
When you sleep on a sailboat and then go for a sail (all in the same day), you have to take lots of pictures to remember it by.  Thanks to Uncle Hutch for the memories!
