Angela in goal!!

Image
Coach Dan asked who wanted to take a turn playing goalie and Angela said, "YES!!!".  She was completely confident and excited until she started trying on the equipment and realizing how big it was (I didn't realize it would actually, really be too big in a way).  She got out on the ice and fell.  She was unable to get up.  She cried and wanted to be done.  If she didn't do it, their team would not have a goalie because it takes too long to change equipment.  She didn't love it, but she did it. And she is proud of herself, which is all that matters!  It doesn't need saying, but of course we are ridiculously proud of her as well.  This is the first "real" time her hard will and strong personality helped her in a situation she wasn't all that comfortable in.  She wasn't happy, but SHE DID IT! I will NEVER forget this day.

Richard's 8th birthday party

Image
For his birthday party, Richard wanted to go to the movies with a few of his best friends.  We are very proud of him for realizing this would be more fun than a big expensive party.  It is actually what more and more of his friends are doing as well. Phew!  We had a blast seeing Penguins of Madagascar and then making our own pizza at Pizzeria Uno after.  The boys were (mostly) very good.

Skiing Pat's Peak

OK, back to blogging and hope to catch up.....soon anyway.  Going to start now and if I don't go backwards, then oh well! Fun day with some North End friends (Pergola's and Heath's).  Love to see these city kids so good on the slopes.  We also met up with the Larson girls.  Double black diamonds for the boys....it is going to be a good ski season!

New Year's Day

Lazy new years day.  Took Christmas all down and found all of our ski equipment.  (Yes, Angela is crying....who knows why!)
