Lindsey/Frank's baby shower

Image
Not sure how I missed the guests of honor in these pictures, but I got great ones of the kids!  Always a great day when so many cousins get together  and the cray number of new ones on the way.  Can't wait to meet Baby Boy Barber!

St. Anthony's Feast

Image
As much of a pain as the feasts can be in the summer, they are also so fun and a rite of passage in the North End in the summer.  If you can't beat'em join'em....

Last day of camp

Last day of summer camp!  Don't let this summer end.

Sailing camp

Image
The last week of camp this year was sailing camp in East Boston at Piers Park Sailing Center.  Not a bad view!  The kids enjoyed fishing, crabbing, lobstering, kayaking and sailing of course!

Weekend watching Bradley in Scituate

Image
Erin and Matt had a wedding so we were able to watch Bradley and Maggie for the weekend!  It started by bellying up to the bar in the North End.  Bradley sadly did not win anything on his scratch tickets.  Once in Scituate we spent most of the time at the beach.  It wasn't the perfect beach weather, but it didn't rain and it kept all of the people away.  A delicious lobster dinner, Bradley snuggles and tons of golf...great weekend!

Playing hooky adventure to the lake

Image
We played hooky from work and camp and took the commuter train up to our friends the Cincotti's lake house. The kids had a blast and I had so many AMAZING pictures of swimming and fishing while watching the sun set, but they were sadly erased from my camera.  Sigh, but a great day!

Dinner with my leading man

Image
Angela was invited by her friend Lucy to go to the Red Sox game (and Chris was in NY at the Yankee game!) so it was date night for Rich and I.  He LOVES this sushi restaurant and has been there enough that the owner comes over to say hello (to him not me!).

Fisherman's feast

Image
Enjoying the Fisherman's feast in our neighborhood.  Let the kids stay up to see the angel fly.  Very exciting!

Day in Marblehead

Image
We had a weekend in Boston in the summer which never happens!  So we decided to use it to explore one of the many beautiful towns surrounding us.  We picked Marblehead because we had never fully explored it and we knew it would be the perfect place to spend the day on the water.  As you can see it was!  We rented kayaks and found this cute little island to swim from, only reachable by boat.  We explored, had delicious seafood, swam and just enjoyed the ocean together for the day.  The last picture is my favorite....especially because you can see Boston in the background.  My favorite part of the city is that these other beautiful places are a short drive (or rain ride) away.
