One of the reasons I love the North End is because of the shops and community places to go. Since it was raining after I got Ang from school, we waited with a hot chocolate nand a cookie for Richard to get out.
The kids truly go to the BEST school and it is in part to great administration. Our principal is one of the most amazing woman I have ever met. She truly turned this school around and is the reason it is the best! I was honored to help put together a ten year celebration with parents, kids and neighbors. Here's to another ten years of greatness at the Eliot!
Another Killington ski weekend with our Nazzaro friends in the books. Not sure what part is our favorite. The pool/hot tub, the breakfast, the fire place or the skiing. It is all great every year!
Can I even say it more?? My kids go to the greatest school! Today the Upper School kids got to meet Isaiah Thomas. He is only THE best player on the Celtics. Here is a link to the news coverage of it (yes not Rich was on the news!). And a photo of Rich (in the blue sweatshirt) giving him a high 5. Some members of the Celtics told the kids their stories, sharing how they didn't always have it easy but they persevered. Blown away! http://whdh.com/sports/isaiah-thomas-visits-boston-school-to-honor-students/
Another successful North End hockey season and another banquet with a Bruins surprise. My kids are so lucky (spoiled!) with all that they get (aside from meeting Bruins players, trophies, hats, shirts...).
Always a fun day - the basketball banquet. Notice Angela's trophy is bigger than Richard's. He had to miss a few more games than her. Great team and great season.
Richard had another Publishing Party. He wrote a great book about being one of the police officers who arrested Susan B Anthony when she tried to vote illegally. I love that they are learning about real topics! So far it has been women's suffrage and the holocaust. He taught me about a few more of the important women of the time.
Snow day for the kids and I! Lots of pajama time (even breakfast out in pajamas!) and lots of cookie baking. Fort building and snow playing ended with girl snuggles (including Regina!).
Fun end of year party for the Mites. Pizza and adult/kid game. Chris wore a ski helmet, but Brad Marchand was there!! Exciting stuff. Also, Richard played goalie so Angela got to score on her brother.
Big hockey tournament weekend for Charlestown. Angela's Mite A team came in first place AND they won the final game with her in goal! It was amazing - she is a true athlete. She even saved a penalty shot (which we didn't know could happen in the Mites). Go Angela!
