the latest wells family antics

Angela's baseball clinic finished the season with a parents vs kids baseball game.  It was so fun to see the kids and how some of them have actually learned a few things.  Angela of course knows all about baseball and the other parents noticed.  Rich got to play with the kids which made Angela the proudest girl there!  Afterward we had a pot luck lunch and the kids got their trophy.  Her very first trophy!!!    

This is why I love summer!  You can stay out late and just hang around.  This night we went across the bridge to Charlestown for some dinner and ice cream.  On the way back we hit the playground just because we didn't want to go home yet.

My little girl who swears she is a boy.......wants to wear a dress today!  Yep, keep us guessing!

We have a first grader!!  With a very successful performance and party, the Kindergartener's are done (well they actually have two more weeks of school still).  Not sure how my first baby got so big, but he is officially in Elementary School.  We had an awesome year with a brand new teacher.  Ms. Hutchins was so energetic and compassionate, I could not have asked for anyone better.  Rich was in love with her and the friends in his class.  Not sure we can beat this next year, but we will try.         

Summer is here - the fountains are on!!!

When I was a kid my Grandmother would give us money for reading her books.  We loved when she would visit and would practice our reading to make sure we got a lot of money.  My Mom has kept up this tradition with my kids and it was hysterical.  Richard doesn't love to read, but it was his favorite activity when my Mom was here.  I had to put a limit on some of the silly books he would read and expect money for.  And it was adorable to see Angela "read" books as well.  They were mostly stories she had memorized, but she would swear she was reading them.  She is actually REALLY good for a 4 year old.
