Sunday summer fun at our friends lake house!

Had a late night dance party on the roof while taking silly pictures!  Gotta love late summer nights.  Soon we have to get back to a routine.

I did get the kids to do a little summer homework.....but we mostly decided they are too young to worry about it. Kids need to just be kids sometimes.....

Not sure how many other towns do it, but tonight was the National Night Out. Here we had all kinds of crafts, music, food and representatives from local groups. At 8:00 the church bells ring and then the kids put candles in the fountain. It is a really nice evening spent with our neighborhood friends. Pictured is one of our dearest family friends Phyllis. I volunteer with her at the library and she is now a good friend to all of us and we all adore her. My favorite part was the demonstration the police put on with their K9 dogs. Very interesting!

We spent lots of time at the pool this year.  With the kids being older and Angela learning to swim, it was so much easier.  They carry their own chairs so I just have a bag with towels and goggles. Boy will we miss this place when school starts.

When we returned to real life it was North End Family Pride week.  And since we don't sit still for very long in our house, I couldn't pass up a free harbor cruise!  We enjoyed a beautiful night out on the water getting to see our awesome city from a different angle.

In order to not feel so sad about leaving the Trout Club, we went blueberry picking on the way home.  Found an amazing farm with so many blueberries to pick it was almost easy.  Kids had a blast and we have our blueberry stash for the year.
