It seems official that we celebrate birthdays these days with corn muffins for breakfast and ice cream sundaes for dessert. Chris got 2 nights of special desserts! Happy Birthday to the best Dad out there!
For Daddy's birthday "party" we took him to a rock climbing gym. Again, these pictures sort of speak for themselves! The kids (and Chris) were so brave!! We will surely come back here since Chris learned how to spot the kids by the end.
These pictures speak for themselves! We love Maggie, but like Regina she is quirky! Sleeping with her head in the air. Worse than a playdate with the kids - every toy gets taken out. "If Maggie isn't going to eat her dinner, I am going to lay here until they let me eat it." Snuggles (yes, Chris has my Snuggy on!)
Off to another great start to another great season. Of course this wasn't Rich's first game, but our first game as a family. It was a cold one, but always still fun!
It has been a year and I finally feel like we can move forward. It is still one of my favorite days of the year and this year was no different. It was another beautiful experience to see my girlfriends run this very hard race. The kids saw again what strength and resolve people have. Rich is counting down the days until he is old enough to run the Boston Marathon and I couldn't be happier! We ended the day with baseball and a pizza on the waterfront. The kids were dirty and tired. The perfect end to the perfect day. Life is good!
In the middle of our world wind Easter tour, we stopped in NJ to meet new cousin Jackson and visit with our Jersey/DC/Richmond cousins who also happened to be there. He is absolutely gorgeous and not a little peanut any more. Fun time - thanks Karen and Bill! You all wore us out!
While in NY we decided on an improptu trip to see the Mets at Citi Field. Coincidentally other cousins were going as well so we met up. Since it was Good Friday we tailgated with shrimp and cheese...super fancy and delicious! It was cold, but it is a beautiful, inexpensive ball park with lots for the kids to do (pics below of the kids in the batting cages). We squeezed in a lot of family fun in a short weekend!
Had a fun start to the Easter weekend with a visit to the beach to see Aunt Donna Jo and Uncle Hutch. Egg coloring, the water and a quick mani/pedi for the girls rounded out the trip! Always a great time.
