A little breakfast

Image
A little breakfast out before our walk to school!  Happy Friday!

Block party

Image
Block party with our neighborhood buds!  Close the street, grab some food/drinks and play!

Night in Scituate

Image
Aunt Erin and Uncle Matt watched the kids for a night for us - it seems they had a good time AND were helpful.  They are available for weeding/gardening/planting ANY TIME!!

Revolution Game

Image
Chris got last minute tickets to the see the Revolution (professional soccer) game.  We brought a friend (Teagen) and had a blast.  Complete with tailgating and all (yes, we tailgate with corn on the cob!!) which is strange to the kids since they are used to going down the street or taking the train to games.  Go Revs!

Buzz cut

Image
It is that time of year again - time for Rich to get his summer buzz cut.  He finally let me take him to the Barber because, "Mom it isn't really appropriate for you and Ang to be in the Barber Shop." Not even going to ask what that means!

Guitar

Image
Guitar lessons - the kids take them every Thursday morning.  They love them.  Not sure they are getting any better, but they love it!

The writing on the wall...

Image
This is what Chris found on the wall behind our couch this morning.  It was obviously Angela, but she, "Didn't want to talk about it." I finally got out of her that she did it, "That time you told me I was being good and quiet. Remember you told me that?"  Perfect!

Field Trip to Drumlin Farm

Image
I took the day off to take Angela and her class on a field trip to Drumlin Farms.  They are studying animals at school so this was perfect.  The kids had a blast and were so inquisitive. They also have an incubator in their class with eggs they are hoping will hatch into chicks in the coming weeks.  We shall see!

Mother's Day

Image
Mother's Day - relaxing, beach, ice cream before dinner, and fancy food (oysters because Ang wanted them!!).  HEAVEN!

Copley Library and visits

Image
We were so lucky to have Grandpa AND Babci visiting on the same day.  They were able to see the kids play some baseball, then we went into town to check out the Copley Library.  Unfortunately Grandma wasn't able to see the prints I wanted him to, but the kids had a blast.  I love my little library lovers! After Grandpa left we walked home through the Boston Common - hitting all the sights in between.

Baseball

Image
It is baseball season which means all we do is play baseball ALL THE TIME!  But, both kids love it. (AWESOME photo credit to me, Madeleine's Dad Charlie and Grandpa!) Love this candid as this girl (Caitlin) is one of Richard's first little loves from St. John's.  And she is GOOD at baseball! Going to have to frame this one!

Big Cheese Gala

Image
The Eliot School won an award from the non profit, Partners In Education.  It was awarded at a HUGE gala at the Westin Hotel in the Seaport District.  It is a HUGE deal as this non-profit is sponsored by big names in Boston.  As part of the fundraiser, Rich's class was asked to perform (They sang Roar by Katy Perry for a past school performance).  They were given pizza, a bus to get there and a room to get ready in.  They did an amazing job in front of hundred's of people.  I was so proud of the kids and our school!  Go Eliot! (Photo credit to me and Williamson Visuals - yes, they asked us to say that!) Check it out: Big Cheese Gala
