Weekend in NY

We had a packed weekend in NY and got to see a lot of old friends that we unfortunately don't get to see that much. It started with a stop at Grandpa's house. We went there for Granny Gert's Memorial service which was really nice. And got to spend a little bit of quality time with Grandpa.


We were then off to Saratoga to see the latest addition to the Clarkson babies clan......
Vanessa Mercedes Blanco. She is of course beautiful and it was wonderful to see how happy her parents are (oops, I didn't get any pics of them!). We were able to go with them on their first venture to eat at a restaurant. Big stuff for new parents.




We stayed with our friends the Mittlers. As you can see a lot of playing was done at their house with Julia. And we got to meet their new little girl Mackenzie.




THEN, to top off the weekend, we stopped in Troy to see our friends the Tichy's and to meet Kay. As you can see here, Rich and Kay became instant friends. We were most impressed with the fact that Kay's Daddy (Graham) could play guitar. So we had a live kiddie concert while the Moms got to catch up!

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! (Unfortunately my camera memory card was full so this video got cut off)

Giggles!

Although Angela loves to smile (and does so ALL the time) she has been stingy with the belly laughs. Not this day!! She is totally a daddy's girl and he is the best at making her giggle. Enjoy - it is music to our ears.

Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
