Busy Friday

It was a busy Friday. It started off with a trip to the doctor for a flu shot. I have to say, Richie did awesome! He cried when he was actually getting the shot, but then loved his basketball band aid and his sticker that the nurse gave him. He thought he was touch stuff because he held his head high, strutting his way out of the office waving to everyone he passed.

This picture is of the muffin he got as a treat for being such a big boy. He wanted a donut (who puts donuts for the letter D in a kids book anyway??), but I luckily changed his mind. This picture doesn't do the mess he made any justice either. Thank goodness we have a dog!

Then we went to Castle Island in Southie to watch the airplanes and boats.

And the best part, was Lisa came over that night to babysit. Yep, Chris and I had a whole dinner, just 2 adults. It was great! And of course, we were still home by 9:30. Can't stay out much later than that these days.

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
