Cheers for Champs

Rich and the family were invited to Cheers for Champs at Fenway Park by NEAA (North End Athletic Association).  Can't pass up a chance to hang at Fenway so we went although it was Angela's real birthday.  To make it special we treated her to her first chocolate milk (which she didn't like!) and huge chocolate sundae (which she did like!). 
Aside from all of the games they had set up we heard Bobby Valentine (coach of the Red Sox) speak along with Boston Breakers and New England Revolution players.  Lots of local college athletes/coaches came out as well. The Boston Foundation's CHAMPS program is focusing on making Boston and MA the best place for youth to develop through sports by promoting leadership, healthy behaviors and respect for the game, the team, and the opponent.  A fun and inspiring night!

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
