Valentine's Day

Not sure when Valentine's Day became like Christmas, but I am pretty sure it is my fault.  I try to make birthday's and holidays extra special and what I did is make more work for myself.  Oh well, the kids loved it and life is too short not to.  Or maybe I want to make sure my kids grow up saying how Mom did have a little bit of creativity in her.  Heart shaped waffles (eggo's with a few pieces cut off!) and fruit skewers (that I also made for Rich's whole class!) for breakfast.  The house was decorated and presents (only a few) were wrapped.  The kids were especially excited to give each other their cards. AND I even remembered to get Regina a present.  Poor thing didn't get a new toy for too long to admit.
Happy Valentine's Day to all four of my loves!
(I got flowers, a nice dinner and a box of See's candy.  I thank my mother in law for teaching me about that box of heaven!)

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! Giggles!

Although Angela loves to smile (and does so ALL the time) she has been stingy with the belly laughs. Not this day!! She is totally a daddy's girl and he is the best at making her giggle. Enjoy - it is music to our ears.

Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
