Parade send off at Fenway Park
The Red Sox won the World Series!!! The kids were ecstatic and followed every last minute of the coverage. There was of course a parade through the city on duck boats (sort of like a ticker tape parade in NY) which has become a tradition. As season ticket holders (even though we only get 10 games) we were able to go to Fenway Park to send the players off on the parade route. Chris couldn't come because he had to coach soccer, but the kids and I were there bright and early at 8:00 am! As you can see we got amazing seats. We saw all of the players as they each gave a little speech and then a Dropkick Murphys concert where they played all of the kids favorite songs. It was really a once in a lifetime event. After all the people rushed on the field (even though we weren't supposed to). You can see the kids below TOUCHING the green monster wall.
