Hanging with the Hamweys

One of my favorite things about where we live is all of the new help we have with the kids.  I have met amazing people who I feel comfortable using to grab the kids if I am going to be late for pick up or watch them on the many days off of school.  This pertains to old friends as well.  My high school friend Mary Beth was in a bind with her two oldest kids so I took them for the day!  We had so much fun and the kids get along so well.  Maybe too well!  Once Mary Beth got back we were sitting in the living room having a beer when Chris got home.  He noticed it was MUCH too quiet for 4 kids being upstairs.  Long story short...they had taken Richie's bed completely apart and tilted his mattress off of the bed a bit to make a slide!  I am going to take the positive road here and appreciate how clever they were.

Singing the ABC's

So I finally got it on camera although it isn't his best effort. For those of you who have been around us recently, you know how Rich sings the ABC song ALL DAY LONG. It is obviously his favorite song and he is really good at it! In this video he misses a lot of the letters because he does not want to be taped. But he literally knows all the letters and the ending. I guess he was developing his verbal skills when he was sitting on his bottom for all those months NOT crawling. This was taken this morning and I had to bribe his with a cookie. It was only 9 am, but it was the only way I could get him to do it for the camera.

Angela's first holy communion

An absolutely beautiful day for my Angela Jane!  She looked absolutely gorgeous and she couldn't help but smile from ear to ear.  She celebrated with her family and then with friends who feel like family now.  We are truly blessed! Brunch with family at Monica's and then a bbq at the Crocini's. How cute is she with her bbf's?!?!?!

Celtics courtside!!

At 5:00 Chris got a call from a customer (who happens to live across the street), asking if we wanted his seats for the pre-season Celtics game tonight.  Of course we do!  Yes, it was the first game of the World Series and the Red Sox were playing, but you still can't beat going to a game. Chris had a feeling this guy had good seats, but when we arrived at Row A the kids were ecstatic.  Courtside, directly behind the players seats!  It was so awesome!   They were just feet from us and they were huge.  We could hear the plays they were going to run and then watched them run them.  Angela didn't love the seats because we were almost too close and she had trouble seeing over the 6'7" players!  The game was on ESPN and we were so close to the court that we were also on TV a lot.  My Mom was able to tell me what we were wearing because she watched it.  I found a quick link below.  You can see how close we were. ...
