Halloween 2012!

Halloween started again this year with a school trip to the Coast Guard to trick or treat.  It is so amazing to get to tour the facility never mind the great decorations and candy they give the kids.  They really go all out to show the kids a wonderful time.  This year St. John's went as well and we bumped into our best St. John's buddy Caitlin!  For this party you are supposed to dress as your favorite book character so Richie picked a pirate.
After school the kids dressed in their "real" costumes and we hit the neighborhood.  Can you imagine how much candy a kid can get in a short amount of time when the stores are just steps apart?!?!  The kids had a blast running around with their friends.  And a pizza party to round out the night with all of the kids north end friends.  This kind of day makes me think I could start liking Halloween. 
And did you notice Angela was a monkey again?  Yep, she wanted to do the same thing as last year.  She IS my daughter!

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! Giggles!

Although Angela loves to smile (and does so ALL the time) she has been stingy with the belly laughs. Not this day!! She is totally a daddy's girl and he is the best at making her giggle. Enjoy - it is music to our ears.

Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
