Jim May and the Boston Conservatory

Richard was able to spend the week doing a residency with Jim May who is the Artistic Director of the Sokolow Theater/Dance Ensemble, New York (and still teaching at 79!).  Along with a grant from the Linde Foundation and help from other Boston Conservatory teachers, the students were able to work with this world renown choreographer and learn about modern dance.  Praise for Mr. Murphy (the kids theater teacher) as well.  He could be doing so much more with his skill, but his passion is teaching elementary school kids.
Because of a snow day, they had one less day, but their performance was still great.  I can't say enough about how I love our school and community because of the opportunities these kids have.  I am also always so proud of my sports loving kid who continues to broaden his horizons!

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! (Unfortunately my camera memory card was full so this video got cut off)

Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
