DC - Day 3

One day 3, we were up bright and early again to get to the Capitol for our tour.  This was probably not the kids favorite, but we were all impressed and inspired none the less.  The fun started for the kids when we hit the Building Museum.  They had a Lego room that the kids would have stayed in all day had we let them.  We actually didn't get to see the rest of the museum because Richie melted down when he had to leave the Lego's.  So we instead went straight to lunch.

After lunch the kids hit the stroller for nap time and the adults split up.  Chris went straight back to the Building Museum and the girls went to the National Portrait Gallery and the American Art Museum.  All 3 were again voted winners!  After nap we told the kids we were going to go to the Zoo, but after 3 full days we were just too exhausted.

All in all a great vacation!  We won't soon forget all of our fun activities.  We learned so much and the only thing we paid for were the Lego and butterfly exhibits.  Thanks Joanna for letting us stay at your house and showing us such a good time.

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
