Ice skating!!

So we had a very different boy this year for ice skating lessons!!  Last year he was skeptical, took a few weeks to get comfortable, and then would have set backs even after he had a great lesson.  Not this year!  He has been talking about it for days and every time I mentioned it his face lit up.  At one point I sat him down and said, "Are you super excited about lessons or a little bit nervous"?  He just looked at me like I was crazy and said, "EXCITED!".  He did so well he was asleep within 15 minutes of getting home....which is 45 minutes early.  He knows how to read the 8 on the clock and he has never called it a night before the "8 on the left".

Richie was lucky enough to have Kate as his instructor again and so far it is a private lesson.  You really can't beat Wednesday nights at Steriti Rink.  I think it is safe for me to book his birthday party here again....Spiderman goes ice skating!

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
