Parent/teacher conference

Richie is only 3, and I already had my first parent/teacher conference!  I am sure these will soon mean more, but at the moment I just wanted to get a sense of how he was doing and learn more about his activities at school.  We were slackers and missed the first two meet and greet meetings at school so I have been somewhat in the dark about his schedule.  Miss Marylou said he is a wonderful student and one of the nicest little boys she has ever had!  Phew!  They are really learning a lot (look at his coloring from Sept-Dec below).  He has learned some new songs about God and being nice to your friends, etc.  He also knows "all" the words (although he says quite a few wrong still) to The Our Father.  I am also very impressed with how nice the other kids in his class are.  Not that the kids in day care before weren't nice, these kids are just noticeably more polite and well mannered.  Miss Marylou also makes her classroom beautiful!

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! Giggles!

Although Angela loves to smile (and does so ALL the time) she has been stingy with the belly laughs. Not this day!! She is totally a daddy's girl and he is the best at making her giggle. Enjoy - it is music to our ears.

Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
