Sunday River Day 1

It was finally time for the 1st winter family vacation.  We went up to Sunday River in Maine and decided it was time for Rich to try ski school.  He had been skiing a few times before but had never skied on his own.   Well in the first 45 minutes on the hill with his Sponge Bob skis, he was skiing the bunny slope on his own.  He started the day in the red class and by the end of the day he moved up two levels to the green.  Best part is he seems to really love it.  
Angela also had a first with her first time in day care.  She was just as excited to go to "ski school" as Rich was.  When we talked about it before we left for the trip she just kept saying how she would need her back pack. She cried when I dropped her off, but by the time I walked out the door she was all smiles.
We went out for pizza and went back to the hotel to play games and roast marshmallows.  Great day in the mountains.

Go Rich...so cute. I also am so jealous of the marshmallow roasting and the beers I see you and Chris enjoying after a day on the mountain!!!

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! (Unfortunately my camera memory card was full so this video got cut off)

Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
