Uncle Leddie and Uncle Kevie's house

Well it was finally here.....one of my favorite holidays of the year.  Next to maybe Christmas...I LOVE the Fourth.  It is always nice weather with lots of pool/beach time in Long Island.  My kids feel the same way because they are truly FISH!  They just love the water.  The first stop on our LI trip  (after a 5 hour drive down from Maine) was Uncle Leddie and Uncle Kevie's house.  These are their new names given by Rich.  He made them up while writing them a father's day card and giggles every time we mention it.  I think the names are going to stick.
As you can see aside from swimming we were able to celebrate cousin Riley's 1st birthday with her.  We also met our new cousin Baby William.  This is my cousin Steven's first baby.  Who wouldn't love a holiday where you get to see so many cousins.  Check out these pictures......we have a lot of them!  And because it was the Fourth......sparklers!!!

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
