US Figure Skating Championships

The US Figure Skating Championships were held down the street at the Garden.  How could we miss seeing who was going to head to Sochi for the Olympics!  We are counting down the days until the Olympics start, so this was the perfect opener for that.  And what is better than figure skating?  I know I like figure skating more than most people, but spinning in the air 3/4 times on ice skates.....come on...amazing!  Angela loved it as well as now she wants to be an ice skater and a doctor.  She is confident she can do both.  At the very least, she wants to be one of the little girls who comes out after each performance to collect the flowers and stuffed animals people throw on the ice.

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! (Unfortunately my camera memory card was full so this video got cut off)

Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
