February break - Sugarloaf

After Jay Peak we got in the car for another 4 hour car ride from Vermont to Maine for more skiing with other friends (yes we are VERY lucky to have such generous friends!).  Although the trip didn't go as planned (quick stop off at the GMC dealer), we made it.  Sugarloaf is MY favorite mountain to ski.  I had days of amazing, fabulous skiing as you can see from all of these bluebird pictures.  The kids loved being back at their favorite ski school with all of their friends.  Angela had Cecelia every day and Richard was with Brigid and Vivian for a whole day.
We took one day of skiing off to hang out in the adorable town we were staying in (Embden, Maine) on this beautiful pond.  Sledding, ice fishing and making snacks.  We even kept our friend Cecelia with us an extra day because the Carey's had to go home.
Nothing better than a vacation!

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! (Unfortunately my camera memory card was full so this video got cut off)

Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
