Lake Tahoe Day 1
Day 1 in Lake Tahoe was all about me getting the kids out of the house and to the airport with 2 sets of skiis/boots, 2 car seats and 3 bags. Thank goodness for Uncle Matt's help! Three trips to the bathroom later the plane took off. The kids were great on the plane which was good because we had two flights and we could not get off of the plane. The airline was great and the pilot gave the kids a demonstration of the cockpit. He pushed a whole bunch of buttons and made a lot of whistles and bells go off.
Once we got there I gave up the kids to Chris for some quiet time. We stayed at an amazingly fancy Marriott right at the Heavenly gondola. The kids wanted to hit the pool immediately of course. Look at the far away picture of the kids in the pool. Snow in the background and a beer in the foreground. Vacation has started!
And I had to put the last picture here although it was actually taken the next morning. Since it was 4 am I still considered it not day time yet. The time difference was tough on the kids the first day AND Rich was excited! Helmet, snow pants and ski boots on checking out the trail map at 4 am!!
