Trip to the zoo with Dawn

Not sure where Dawn gets all of the energy. Today she took the two kids on the train to the bus to the zoo.....for 4 hours!! When we go we drive there, stay for an hour and head home. They had a picnic and all. Needless to say, the kids had a blast. Richie came home with the zoo brochure/map and showed me all of the animals and exhibits they saw. They didn't miss an inch of that place!
We are so glad Dawn is going to spend the summer with them. I can't even imagine what other adventures they will have. And Dawn also gave us other good news. One is she is staying with us until at least January. For anyone who has had to make child care decisions, you know what good news that is. AND Dawn is engaged! Her and Joe are planning a wedding for this winter.

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
