Father's Day 2010

Our father's day adventure (what we call our days out at the moment) was to go hiking. After I made pancakes and Chris opened his presents, we were off! Hiking was something we used to do all the time with Regina. When Richie came along, we still got out often enough. Now that we have Angela....well, it has been a while. So this adventure was an exciting one for all of us. PLUS, it was practice for the Trout Club.
Well as you can see from these pictures, the kids loved it! We brought 2 backpacks in case Richie melted down half way out, but he didn't. He walked the whole way and continued to tell us how much fun he was having. At one point he tripped and skinned his elbow pretty good. But without much fuss, he got right back up and kept going.
We finished our night with dinner at home with Aunt Erin and Uncle Matt. I made dinner including grilling the hamburgers!!
Happy Father's Day to all of our friends and family. Especially those not with us today!

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
