A day on the Common

We had the BEST day today!! Chris is away fishing with his Dad so we have been making the best of our time alone. Today we spent the day in the Boston Common. Aside from being a beautiful park, there is so much to do. We went on the Swan Boats and the carousel. We smelled all the beautiful flowers and ran around on the grass. We got hot dogs and made wishes in the fountains. On the way home we stopped by Art Fridays in Downtown Crossing and Activity Day with the Eliot School on the Greenway.
These pictures didn't come out that good, but I know the kids had a good time because Richie yelled the whole way home, "Who had fun? I did, I did!". We did miss Chris and Richie's wish at the fountain was for Daddy to come home soon.

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
