First school project

Tonight we did our first preschool project.  It was so nice to sit down together, talk and see how much Richie has grown.  We had to put our family picture on a leaf that will be hung on a tree at the entrance to school.  It prompted discussions about fall and how the leaves change colors and fall off.  I can't get over what a sponge they are at this age.
Now it would have all been perfect if he hadn't come home and said, "Mommy, the other kids already did their leaves and brought them back to school."  WHAT?  They didn't tell us when it was due.......we have been busy........already a delinquent mother on week 1 of school.  Sigh.....it is going to be a long 12 years of school to come.
Oh yeah, and we already have a box of candy to sell.  Anyone want some?  Candy money is due Friday and we have sold....none.  We have eaten some!  Double sigh.......I can't imagine how hard Kindergarten will be.

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
