Pumpkin picking 2010

Since it is almost Halloween we had our tradition of heading to Mahoney's Nursery to "pick" pumpkins.  By the time it comes to pumpkin picking, Chris and I are always picked out.  Mahoney's has this nicely decorated large section outside with more than enough pumpkins to pick from.  Especially since Angela picked the first pumpkin she saw and Richie searched out the smallest pumpkin he could find!  They were so excited I didn't care what they picked.  Chris found the perfect one to carve and we all got a sweet treat in the farm store.  I think we were there less time than it took Father to say mass this morning!  When we got home we put out our Halloween decorations so we are now ready for the holiday.

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! (Unfortunately my camera memory card was full so this video got cut off)

Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
