Columbus Day

Today was one of those days you don't forget about for a long time!  The kids and I had a day off of work/school and we had a blast!  You don't often get a day with the kids, good weather and LOTS of fun things to do, but today was that day.
We left the house early for some breakfast out before Richie's flu shot.  He was a champion and didn't even flinch.  We then headed over to Christopher Columbus Park for the festivities.  It is one of our favorite parks and on Columbus Day they of course have a big party.  Lawn games, a puppet and marionette show, a music concert, yoga, and much more.  The kids even paraded around the park with the mayor! 
Since the weather was so incredible, we also stopped by our park on the way home.  I am sure I am going to regret keeping the kids out all day later, but for now I am still remembering our fun day off!

Single Mom - missing Daddy

Since Chris was away again for work, we had our first Mommy/Richie/Angela days. It was a lot of work, but I did it! I guess I can handle 2 kids at once. Here are some pictures of our days so Chris can see what we did and know we missed him. We did lots of extra fun stuff because I was bribing Richie so he would go get a hair cut. Well it worked! He is finally not a shaggy dog and he didn't cry again. I am so glad the meltdowns during hair cuts are gone. That first one was brutal. I will never forget it. Some of our first smiles! (Unfortunately my camera memory card was full so this video got cut off)

Red Sox game with our pal Colton

Another fun baseball game and this one we invited Richie's best bud Colton.  We used to invite our friends and now we invite the kids friends.  Luckily Colton's parents are our friends as well so a good time was had by all.   Since the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, Rich wore the special shirt Babci made for him (half Red Sox half Yankees).  He always gets a lot of attention from it.  And this time Angela really got into the game more than usual.  She was so excited from the second we told her we were going to the game.  She insisted on wearing her Red Sox hat and shirt.  She cracked up everyone on the train because of her outfit and how she just kept yelling about the Red Sox.  Big Papi is her favorite player and she yelled his name the whole game.  Check out the video!
